James Syrad - Principle

James started his dancing career at the age of 11, under the guidance and teaching of Elaine Day of Grove Irish Dancers. James won many titles and won through all grades to become an open championship dancer and finally finished competing at the age of 24 (2004). 

James took a break from Irish dancing until 2008 in which he return to teach irish dancing with Grove Irish Dancers, during his time with Grove Irish Dancers he supported and guided a number of dancers/ pupils to reach their full potential to gain many championship titles. In 2013 James decided to leave Grove Irish Dancers and open his own school - Griffin School. Since opening the school James has achieved and worked with the children to gain two title winning dancers. Griffin school now has 2 British Open Champions.

Kelly Syrad - Teacher

Kelly began her dancing career at the age of 8 under the guidance and teaching of Elaine Day of Grove Irish Dancers. Kelly won many titles and won through all grades to become an open championship dancer and finally finished competing at the age of 24. Kelly joined Griffin school in 2013 with her brother james, to bring irish dancing to child in the rural areas of kent.
